CCC Mark for China
Products requiring the CCC Mark are listed in the CCC Catalogue of Products and are subject to one or more of the following certification assessments. Specific product requirements are specified in the Implementation Rules (article 11).
It is important to note that manufacturers are NOT allowed to self-declare to the requirements of the CCC Mark and products must be tested in China, and a CQC (China Quality Certification Center) auditor must conduct the initial factory inspection. The above stipulations add to the complexity of achieving CCC Mark compliance. To minimize the complexity and assist manufacturers in gaining CCC Mark approval with clear and timely communications, the CQC and TÜV SÜD Product Service, a subsidiary of the TÜV SÜD Group and Germany's largest independent test and certification organization, have partnered to form Jiangsu TÜV SÜD Inspection & Quarantine Mechanical and Electrical Products Testing Center.
For a product that is not required to bear the CCC Mark, TÜV SÜD Canada can assist in providing companies that have products outside the scope of the product catalog a confirmation letter, easing the product through customs. Additionally, TÜV SÜD Canada can provide CCC Marking services for the Far East in Cantonese and Mandarin. To learn more about China and the CCC Mark
requirements, join us for one of our online
webinars or contact Vanessa Wen at vwen@tuvcanada.com. Background As authorized through the State Council,
The China National Regulatory Commission for Certification and Accreditations
(CNCA) administers all affairs concerning CCC Mark certification and accreditation,
including authorizing Designated Certification Bodies and Accredited Testing
Labs. CQC is the largest Designated Certification Body and can issue certificates
for 126 product categories. For more information, contact us. |

The
CCC Mark is a labeling requirement for select products entering China.
Essentially, the CCC Mark verifies to customs officials that a product
complies with safety and quality requirements set forth by the Chinese
government. Compliance is demonstrated by the manufacturer affixing the
CCC Mark to their products.
Jiangsu TÜV SÜD is a CNCA-Accredited Testing
Laboratory, and has its own EMC and electrical appliances safety laboratory,
which is furnished with advanced testing equipment in accordance with
the Chinese national standards and corresponding international standards.
